Monticello Auto Service opened its doors in July of 2016, founded by two brothers with a passion for automotive excellence—Mike and myself. We’ve been fortunate to have Scott, an experienced advisor and manager, with us from the start. Together, we’ve maintained ownership and hands-on management of the shop, ensuring consistent, high-quality service through the years.

The Drive Behind Our Service
The journey into auto repair began uniquely. I originally owned a small trucking company, while Mike worked as a lead heavy-duty diesel mechanic. Our mutual interest in mechanics wasn’t just limited to work—we both enjoyed tinkering with classic cars and undertaking various automotive projects. The idea to start our own shop took shape when I stumbled upon a leasing sign for what would become our shop’s location. Initially, it was a strategic move to service our trucks and save on costs, but it quickly evolved into a full-fledged auto repair business, especially after I decided to step away from the trucking industry.
Outside the Garage
When we’re not diagnosing an engine problem or overseeing repairs, you can find us engaging in our favorite pastimes. I am an avid fisherman and golfer, often taking my ’66 Coronet out for a spin to local car shows. Mike, on the other hand, enjoys DIY projects around his home and shares my enthusiasm for car shows. Our hobbies reflect our dedication to precision and relaxation alike, traits that mirror our approach to auto repair.
